I have and A20 with 2560 V4 mb, can I use another vendor TMC2208 without modification to the driver or 1.18 firmware?
Generally, we do not recommend using other brands of drivers. They may not work, and may cause strange bugs to damage your printer.
Thank you for your response, please let me know if the 2560 V4 mb is 8 bit or 32 bit and do these TMC2208 run as standalone in Marlin or UART mode? I want to upgrade Marlin 2.x, so setting driver up is important, your video does not show adjusting voltage, so it leave me with questions., thanks!

Why not TMC2209 in UART mode? A10/A20/M/T has been modified to use TMC2009 by the comunity. Plz level up, we love modz ;)

Do I need the 4 pc for an A20?
It is best to change all of them, to make all of the X/Y/Z Axis motor and extruder quiet. Changing just anyone of them is ok and only the matched one will be quiet.
