The A4988 is a DMOS microstepping driver with translator and overcurrent protection. It is designed to operate bipolar stepper motors in full-, half-, quarter-, eighth- and sixteenth-step modes, with an output drive capacity of up to 35 V and ±2 A, The A4988 includes a fixed off-time current regulator that can operate in slow or mixed decay modes. Translator is the key to the easy implementation of the A4988. Simply inputting a pulse on the STEP input drives the motor one microstep. No phase sequence tables, high frequency control lines or complex interfaces to program. The A4988 interface is ideal for applications where complex microprocessors are unavailable or overloaded.
Features:
1. Suitable for driving stepper motors below 8V~35V 2A;
2. Simple step and direction control interfaces;
3. Five selectable step modes: full, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8 and 1/16;
4. The potentiometer allows adjustment of maximum current output to obtain a higher step rate;
5. Automatic current decay mode detection/selection;
6. Overtemperature shutdown, undervoltage lockout, cross current protection;
7. Short-to-ground protection and shorted load protection
8.weight:34g
9.boxsize:11.5*7.5*4cm
Precautions:
1. Pay attention to the direction when installing, otherwise the driver may be burned out
2. Disconnect the power supply before installing
3. Do not plug or unplug the drive with power on to avoid damage.
4. When installing the heat sink, be careful not to contact the heat sink and the row pins to prevent short circuit of the drive
