Hallo there,
I am currently experimenting with different support settings. There I noticed a bug (I think):
Eaysyprint 1.2.6 --> Slicing Settings --> Parameters (---> enable support) --> Z distance:
This parameter seems to define the distance between the actual print and the support. The default setting is 0,1 mm. However, entered values <1mm do not have any effect. Only parameters >1mm (which are definitely not practical) have an actual effect.
Can anyone confirm this issue?
Kind regards
René

Hi, William.
You can try to set it to different values.
Then import the stl file and click slice.
Compare them then you will mean what I am talking about.

OH, you can observe the distance transform I set
0.2mm 2mm However, we set up support to ensure that the suspended parts do not fall. So can't be set too big.

Yes, you can set the value but it does not have any effect on the model. I also enabled support interface. I don´t know if this has any influence on it. I took a few screenshots.
Here I set the Z-distance to 1 mm. The gap is clearly visible: Here I set the Z-distance to 0,9 mm. There should not be a large difference visible but for every value <1 mm the gap seems to be non existent. And the slicer settings:

Yes, I can confirm that there is a difference between values <1 mm and >1 mm but there is no difference between values <1 mm. So let´s say 0,1 mm isn´t any different to 0,9 mm.

Hi, but in fact, the support is to protect your dangling parts, so you don't need to adjust the values very much.

Re: Easyprint 1.2.6 new bug discovered
I just read a good tutorial on how to improve the print quality when using support. There they experimented with different Z distances. I would very much appreciate it, if this feature was added in a future version of easyprint.
