Re: 3D Touch Sensor:Auto-levelling for Geeetech 3D printer
It sounds like it might be working just right. My red LED off when pin is out / extended / down towards bed. Red LED on when pin is retracted / pulled up into 3D touch sensor. The pin is out and light off when the nozzle descends toward the middle of the bed - M280 P0 S10 before G28 & G29. Do you ha...

Try lowering the pin--turn screw clockwise--until the light goes off. Raise it (anti-clockwise) a bit and try the commands.
The light should be on until M280 P0 S10 which turns off the light and extends the pin.

Two movements==normal. Mine only moves twice on start up.

second color dosen't stick
I have printed a few logos: FIAT, FIAT Abarth and Oakland Raiders. All three of them have trouble when i switch to white as second color. ABS doesn't do very well at all. PLA sticks better but I don't get a good first or second layer. I use this bit of G-code to switch filaments: G1 F2280 X140.941 Y...

Re: cura versus lulzbot cura
I slowed the travel speed from F9000 to F6000 and the displacement of layers stopped. Cura is fine.

Re: Something you need to know before using 3D Touch
Do you need a few lines of G code? On start of a print I add custom G code for my Geeetech i3: M280 P0 S160 ; to turn the alarm off if LED bliinks G28 X0 Y0 ; it likes to start from here--0,0 like before G28 Z0 ;it likes to start from here--O,O,O like before M280 P0 S10 ;extend the pin and turn LED ...

cura versus lulzbot cura
I found a big difference between Lulzbot Cura and the Cura that comes with Repetier. The Cura with Repetier loses X,Y registration. I have trashed several prints that shifted from one layer to the next. Lulzbot Cura is better. The gear on the left was sliced with Repetier's Cura and the one at the r...

Re: knock sensor to help ABL
Mine works well. I just finished a couple of 60nm prints. I started at 0.012 mm with layers of 0.060mm. I have done plenty of autoleveled prints. But sometimes the head is too high--the print doesn't stick-- and I correct with a larger Z offset. Sometimes the nozzle is too low--and I can hear the ex...
