Hello,
my geeetech acrylic i3 pro b is making weird gaps when printing.
I am mostly interested in the gaps between the 45° angle prints.
I have been using repetierhost with slic3r, but also tried it with slic3er from the sd card.
Firmware is Marlin 1.0.05.
I am trying to print 1,75mm PLA from geeetech with the 0,3mm nozzle.
As you can see on the screenshot I also have problems with the print not sticking to the print bed on the outer perimeters of the bed, but that is not my main concern here.
It looks to me as if the x axis is jumping a step, but I cannot see anything weird with my bare eye. Tightening the belt didn't help.
Please ask if there is any info missing that could be of value here. I am fairly new to 3D printing as I have just gotten this printer the day before yesterday.

Re: weird printer movement
Hi, Before printing, the hotbed needs to be leveled.
If a 0.3 nozzle is used, the layer height is 80% of the nozzle;
Printing speed reference range: 30-60mm / s.
I hope this can help you.

Re: weird printer movement
A little update on the issue. Apparently the reference voltage for the extruder stepper motor was too low. It was set to 0.8V when the Motor can take up to 2.16V. So I set the Volate to 1.7V, which is the most that the controllers output and that has improved the issue significantly.
The second layer doesn't look much better though. As you can see it is weirdly under- and overextruding at the same time.
I had also leveled my bed to be even closer to the head, since I had problems with the filament not sticking to the bed on the outer perimeters. Print speed for the first layer was 10mm/s all this time because of this problem as well. The current height of the printhead when on z=0 should be around 0.05 to 0.10mm.The second layer doesn't look much better though. As you can see it is weirdly under- and overextruding at the same time.

Hi, You can view your print range and print in the print range;
Then check if the nozzle is clogged,
Heat the nozzle temperature to 200, then manually push the consumables to see if the material can be discharged normally,
If it is blocked, it needs to be cleaned in time.

Re: weird printer movement
I think I have found my problem. The extruder is extremely inaccurate. When telling it to extrude 100mm, it extrudes between 0 to 18mm too little. No idea what I would do about that though.
Re: weird printer movement
Hi, You can try to calibrate the extruder,
You can refer to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fb7lit5 ... s&index=40
Then check if esteps is 93 on the screen, you can modify and save it.

Re: weird printer movement
So the extruder works reliably now. I just had to clean the nozzle twice and clean the print bed and level it a couple of times and now the thing is printing as good as it never has before.
