Magnus René, Arcam’s CEO, will relocate to the new Arcam Group office in Woburn, Mass., to temporarily operate and lead Arcam’s new market expansion into the U.S. market, where demand is growing for metal 3D printing in the aerospace and medical industries. Arcam is taking advantage of Woburn’s ideal location. It is conveniently positioned between AP&C in Montreal and DiSanto in Shelton, Conn., as well as to various investors located on the East Coast.

Sweden-based Arcam is most known for its cost-efficient metal additive manufacturing solutions and specifically its Electron Beam Melting technology, a process whereby metal powders are melted by a high power electron beam, building up full dense metal components layer by layer. The electron beam is managed by electromagnetic coils, providing extremely fast and accurate beam control and layers that can be melted to the exact geometry defined by a CAD model. EBM technology is available through its Arcam Q10 and Q20 metal 3D printing machines.
