Easy Print

Ramps is short for reprap Arduino mega pololu shield, it is mainly designed for the purpose of using pololu stepper driven board (similar to 4988 driven board). Ramps can only work when connected to its mother board Mega 2560 and 4988/DRV8825. Owning to its stability in operation and great compatibility with most 3Dprinter (all reprap-model such as pursa i2 and i3). The combination of Ramps1.4+MEGA2560+A4988/DRV8825 is becoming a mainstream of DIY 3D printer control board.

Features:

1. Standard interfaces (as that of extruder)

2. Reserved GCI like I2C and RS232

3. MOSFET 3 MOSFET are applied to the heater/ fan and thermistor circuit.

4. Another 5A added to protect the component parts.

5. An 11A fuse is added to the hotbed

6. Support 5 stepper drive board

7. The adoption of Pin Header as pololu makes it more convenient to repair or change.

8. I2C and SPI are reserved for expanding

9. All the MOSFET can be controlled by PWM

10. Use the interface of servo motor to adjust the level of printing platform automatically.

11. Adding a SD module for SD ramps module.

12. LED can indicate the status of the heater (the open and close of MOS).

13. 2 stepper motor for Z axis in parallel.

14. Expandable to control other accessories.

Hi i have the RAMPS 1.4 RepRap Mega Pololu with 4 a4988 drivers. Baudrate is 250000 Marlin loaded to the Arduino with no problem Repetier Host easily connected to the printer 12v ATX power supply and motors are connected as described on your Wiki page. i've also connected 3 fans to D8, D9 and D10 as a test. Nothing is working. I have installed the RAMPSTestCode.pde ( link below) that should run all the motors in both directions, Board lights should blink and D8, D9 and D10 should work too. Everything work but the motors are not moving. All the led on the board are blinking and the fans are running. I tried other a4988 driver that I know for sure to work, tried with and without microstepping with no results Can you help? Regard Uri http://reprap.org/wiki/File:RAMPSTestCode.pde

Hi, I purchased one of these from you before. Unfortunately the caps were not rated for 24V. You only used 16V caps. Will you have a 36V cap version anytime in the future? I'd like to purchase one for a 24V build

Hi,thanks. We'll consider about your suggestion. If we produce 36V cap version RAMPS, we'll launch it on our website the first time. Please look at us.

Hi, I have this board working with a Iduino Mega... It can works without USB so it has 1N4004 diode soldered... is it safe to use 14V on it, because it can improve hotbed temp? Regards!

Hello, you can remove 1N4004 diode then use 14V on it.

I have one of these boards that has a short between the X axis stop pins. I have emailed about it a few times and also mentioned it on my last order. I have had no response about it so far.

Cannot upload firmware once this ramps board is attached to Arduino. I can only upload without it attached. It will not accept commands or uploads when attached .The only time it creates movement is with the ramps test file, which is uploaded without the ramps board then reconnected. I have looked over the board with a magnifying glass no cracks ,one or two resolderings carried out, peeled back golden sticker as it was on two contacts and still nothing. I have used a friends ramps board with no problems in my setup however this one is just not working. Is there any modifications that could to solve this problem as there is not much that could go wrong. Should i just send it back?
