This is an modified MK8 extruder, which features outstanding quality and ensures better performance for 3D printers. Compared with the previous version, there are some differences on design of this new extruder. The feeding device of this MK8 extruder uses double V design which can ensure stable and constant feeding, and such design is much more convenient for you to load the filament right to the end of the barrel. The heat-resisting PTFE tube inside the barrel ensures fluent feeding and helps avoid blocking problem thanks to its self-lubricity. The brass nozzle ensures accurate extrusion, realizing excellent printing effect.

By simply adding an extruder holder, you can use it on most 3D printers such as Reprap Prusa I3 and many other types of 3D printers.

· Double V feeding device ensures stable and constant feeding

Is this the same as is included on your I3 Pro B? Is that one a left hand or right hand extruder.? How is this determined? By position of the step motor in relationship to the extruder?

    • Zina Luo | 02/21/2017

hello ,this one is same as the pro B printer ,is the short distance right hand one .If you would like to buy the left hand pls remark to the sale and he will arrange it.

Hello, Is it possible to order RIGHT extruder? I Have PI3B (single left extruder) and would like to upgrade to dual extruder. I have geeetech gt2560 MB and free space for thermistor, stepstick, and stepper engine. Is it possible to make such upgrade? Greetings from Poland!

    • Zina Luo | 02/13/2017

hello, this one is the short distance right hand extruder .

is the tension spring for this unit available separately? The spring on my i3 is beginning to weaken and the filament was starting to slip. I did a complete tear down of extruder and replaced nozzle and worn out tube, but filament would still slip. I inserted a washer under the spring which restored performance.

I have a Geeetech mecreator original model. Will this extruder head fit it OK? Does it have the same amount of heating in it. As I often get print failures at present due to the head temperature dropping too low when printing, after the first 5 or 6 layers being done OK.

    • rita xiang | 12/04/2016

hello David, this extruder can me mounted on your printer. The two extruder use the same heater. If the extruder failed to extrude for the first 5-6 layers, you can add a brim or skirt to the printing model.

Just bought one of these and I can say it's a much better design than the original one. I've had to screw a heat sink onto the barrel/throat to keep it really cool but otherwise not a bad upgrade from the Mk 1.
