G2/G2S Head switch

Post by platypusdriver » Fri Apr 29, 2016 9:20 am

I've just finished (mostly) assembling my kit. I've been having issues with the y axis not seeming to calibrate correctly but I think I need to go back in the firmware and check out the settings there (X and Z will move up on homing but Y will move down... I'm assuming its the firmware Y reverse that needs to be changed). I did find out the "not mostly" part I overlook on the assembly. That is the wiring for the switch on the print head. Now I found I was missing the harness for it....no big deal I can make one of those up... but where does it plug into? The board Layout doesn't say. I'm assuming it will be the Y-Min connection, but wanted to ask and see where it's actually suppose to go once I get it built up. Then I'll be moving on to finalizing the calibration to hopefully get my first print this weekend.

You need to invert the Y axis direction according to this link here:

And the switch, I guess you mean the probe endstop, right? Plug it into the Z MIN connector. Actually you can find the wirings in the building instructions.
Download the user manual and building instructions here:

I believe that is the correct name for the switch. The one on the print head used for the homing. I have downloaded the info and used it to build the kit....but didn't find any wiring reference to that switch.

Thank you, I'll build the missing wiring tonight and change the firmware.
