Upgrading endstop of a rostock G2S pro with Hall effect

Post by Francklin » Wed Jun 07, 2017 6:16 am

Hello guys
I was bored by one of he endstop of my new G2S pro, it was not giving the same distance each time , so I decide to replace the endstop by hall effect sensor and magnets. I found this kit for 8€ each so it's a 25€ upgrade for the 3 endstop.

You have to bend the leg of the sensor to align it with the endstop setting screw and put the manet at the top of the screw, you can fix the magnet with some heat shrink. To power the sensor with 5V , use a 5V UBEC and take 12V power on the extruder fan, for the pin sensor wiring, use the one with 5V that was on the endstop, if you try the wrong one, it won't fry the board, so plug it , enter Gcode M119 to test the endstop and find the good wire.
Once done do again the bed leveling and endstop adjustment and you will be quiet with endsop issues (if you have some)
