hot end i3 m201 issue

Post by Ade O » Mon Mar 30, 2020 6:41 am

hi ok so everything is running great but im getting blobs trolled the internet for ever reading up on speeds and retraction rates etc but cant believe my eyes blobs are coming from not the nozzle but the two grub screws on either side of the nozzle block are oozing liquid plastic that's forming like a blob ive tightened them both up as much as I dare but the left one the side the wires come from wont stop
any hints can I remove it clean and replace it im worried about putting too much pressure on it infear of stripping the head or screw
and doing it hot well

any help or ideas would be greatfully received

ok so here is an up date I have removed the grub screw taken a nasty looking scalpel blade and magnifying glass and oh so gently teased out from between the threads every last tiny bit of pla I could see.
save the hot liquid having a channel of liquid already there for it to flow through ???? then cleaned the internal thread with lint free cloth
then tightened that bane of my grubby existence as tight as I can
well I have to see in the morning if it worked im off to count my fingers and take my rest
