Hi. @William you've posted 2 different sets of pictures with "how to connect 3d touch" one where the color sequence is (top to bottom) Brown/Red/Orange (this post) and the other with Orange/Red/Brown (in this post https://www.geeetech.com/forum/viewtopi ... 17&t=69659)

which is it?

Also do we need to update the firmware for it to work? if so where do we get that?

Thanks

Leigh.

Hi,this connection is the same, 2pin is connected to the 2pin port;
3 pin is connected to the 3 pin port;
If you have 3d touch installed, you need to flash the firmware to 3d touch.

@William,

each cable can go on 2 different ways, (the 2 pin cable can be installed black on top or white on top for example). are you saying the orrientation of the cables doesn't matter?

Yes. And in the pictures above and in the other post on the topic you have it set up both ways, hence why I was asking. It’s a moot point at the moment because I can’t flash the printer for 3dTouch. We need to solve that first.

My printer doesn't seem to have a bootloader on it. I got a Uno to use as a programmer but I can't find the pins to connect now for the prorgamming interface for the GT2560 V4 board, can you show me that? Or can I get a replacement board that DOES have a bootloader on it? I don't want to have to return the printer to Amazon.

So, this is still not clear. The two cables can be plugged in either direction? Black and/or brown on top or bottom; any direction?

(Edit)
Never mind. It looks like the exact same pictures are used in the two posts. I'm not sure what Imcmulle is talking about. Brown and black are GND so they both go to the top.
