Bed thickness?

Post by p0lar » Sat Sep 21, 2019 9:28 am

Is it just me or is the a10m bed really thin. My last printer had a good thick bed. Wouldn't a thicker bed be more flat?

How is the print effect?

The glass on top is 1/4 inch thick but the aluminum heater plate below that is really this and is not really flat. Shouldn't that aluminum heat plate he thicker to remain flat better?

Hi,Are you referring to the gap between the glass plate and the aluminum substrate?
I am not very clear what you are referring to,
However, if the print plane is not flat, it will affect the printing effect.

just refferig to the aluminum plate now the glass.

my other printers have thicker NOT bendable aluminum heater plates. just wondering if this thin plate with the A10M is normal? or should i have a thicker one? glass or not it would be easier to level if the aluminum under the print surface was not bendable. just thinking.
Thanks

:D Compared to the combination of glass plate + aluminum substrate
The Mylar + Aluminum substrate is indeed a little thinner.
