Fan a 100% all time

Hello,

I'm not a english native, so excuse me for my crappy english.

I have two Geeetech A10, and they have the same problem : the fans runs always at full speed. It"s very loud.

I have a third A10 at my work, and this one works normaly, the fans are use only when they are needed.

How could i solve the problem of the first ones ?

Second question : the third geeetech A10 extruder fan dont stop when the print is done...how could i fix it ?

I think it's a firmware problem, but i'm not shure.

Hi, I have the same problem too.
From what I understand it is likely that in the two "noisy" printers mount a card gt2560 <= Rev B, in the one that works well, mount a gt2560 V3 ...

I mount a gt2560 rev B and I tried to solve the problem via firmware but I failed because I could understand how to control the voltage of the fan blowing on the extruded material but not that of the other 2 "noisy" fans.

So I solved by printing a drawer for tools to be inserted next to the motherboard and I inserted 2 potentiometers in it. One for the fan of the motherboard that I keep at 12/15 volts (almost silent) and one for the fan that cools the printhead that I keep at 18/20 volts (much quieter than normal). Even if I'm not printing I can even turn them off completely.

Before doing this, I also tried to act on the Jp2 jumper on the board that allows you to select 12 or 24 volts for the "noisy" fans. Removing the jumper the fans will go to 12volt (much much less noise) but it is almost certain that after a few prints, the wire will clog in the heatsink above the nozzle because the cooling is not enough (at 24 volts the fan runs at 5500/6000 rpm and 24 / 25db !! to 12 volts runs at around 3000/3500 rpm and 15 / 16db).

With the potentiometer and a tester I have marked the position that the knob must have for the voltage at 12-17-20-and 24 Volt .. so as to be able to have less noise but sufficient cooling.
I spent about € 8 total for 2 potentiometers and a new fan for the motherboard (the original one is very bad).
