PC Desktop GUI

Post by ag_maler@gmx.net » Sat Aug 18, 2018 3:25 am

Hello;

I'm search for a way to use the WiFi Module over a DesktopPC.
For example
Printrun / Pronterface, RepetierHost or
via a browser based GUI.

Is there already a possibility? or other desktop programs?

Best regards

Hi.

:mrgreen:

This is theoretically possible. ;)
I know that some of the programs listed by you support the transmission to the printer over IP.

Unfortunately, I do not know such a module. In the sense I haven't found such a solution yet.
If you have such a thing in your eye, boast about it.

@ag_maler@gmx.net

Is there any off the shelf software available for controlling WiFi module now?

No, I think you want a application like Octoprint to control WiFi module ;) . But It is very simple to implement :mrgreen: .

But is there a 'practical' and working tutorial or tutorial?
I suspect that the conversation of the wifi box does not run in a standard that this software understand.

Even a crutch such as after logging into the GeeeTech server via an HTML Gui to send the commands would be something.

Then the GeeeTech software developers will hopefully publish this functionality soon

Hi ag_maler@gmx.net
:mrgreen:

Currently, the 3DWiFi module controls the printer and enables printing with a dedicated application.
This program works under Android, and is called EasyPrint. :D

The user manual is available from the product description on Geeetech.com.

Yes, of course the WifiDongle works via the EasyPrint app on Android and AppleOS. I also used the WifiDongle to this day.
But not on my Windows desktop.

Also on the EasyPrint 3D desktop version I could not find a corresponding feature.
Is it posssible for Windows with Desktop Windows Program EasyPrint 3D ?

How can I get a gcode file via network or wireless from the desktop to the MiniSD card in the WifiModul?
Without uploading my file to the GeeeTech Community Galery!

thx

It would be nice if all this would work on the WifiBox from Windows desktop

autohome
all axes move
Set extruder flow
Set print speed
Preheat Nozzle and bed
Temperatures set nozzle and bed
show current temperature
Print progress status
Upload file to the SD card
Send Gcode commands
Configure network settings
...
and what I can not think of at the moment ;-)

Hi
:mrgreen:

These are the normal functions of any slicer. Why invent an invented one :?:

Are the programmers bored? :P

@ag_maler@gmx.net

Like kaktus said, there are the normal features.

More importantly, Wifibox hasn't been used by many people yet. We cannot give priority to develope PC Desktop.
