just thought i would share some of my prints i have done on my Pro W and hopefully encourage peeps not to give up on it.
my printer is not perfectly calibrated or fine tuned, also not the best cooling fan but still pleased with the results.

Hi,

very nice prints!

I'm finished my assembly of the printer and i have now some issues with the extruder but I am not sure if this is on hardware side or just the settings.

Can you provide my youre settings please?

Regards

im using cura for slicing.
profiles and settings will change depending on the model and the material being used and also individual printers so copying settings and profiles dont really work.

Hi keyser187,

Those are a handful of great prints, congratulations. You seem to be experienced with 3D printer. Aside sharing the profiles which as you mentioned are too specific, do you have some tips? Specially for the support part? Indeed, did you managed to get the Mario without support?

Also, did you upgraded your printer? I can see a fan in a position which is not the initial one (at least in my i3 Pro W version from April 2019).

Thanks :D

Wowwwww , amazing impressions. A real show. I would like to know if the firmware you use is the original one, I can't find updates.

greetings and congratulations

sry for the late reply peeps, i havent been around due to printer nearly burning down due to the dodgy power connector!
@bucito76 the firmware i currently use is marlin 1.1.9
as for tips (im not that experienced) try to print slower, im always around 35ms. make sure the printer is calibrated properly i.e Esteps, retraction, z offest.
these take some fine tuning and you probably wont get them spot on first time so expect a few attempts at tuning.
be prepared for a lot of failed prints too, supports i dont really mess with (mainly use defaults if i do) but try and find models that dont use supports from remixes of a model etc. upgrade the printer to have a part cooling fan (which is what you see in the pic), some z wobble brackets (white pieces in pic above the coupler) and eventually go bowden. sounds complicated but it actually isnt.
AND KEEP AN EYE ON YOUR BOARDS POWER CONNECTOR (theres a post in this forum) AS THEY ARE MELTING.
i have fixed mine with some dodgy soldering as geetech wont replace because warranty ran out
im kind of up and running but having trouble with the temp fluctuating and i dont think its reading right but im getting some prints off still, until i get a new board from somewhere WHICH ISNT GOING TO BE A GEEETECH!
