3d Touch instal on Gt2560 rev A

Post by pwhi » Wed Nov 04, 2020 11:21 am

Bought a 3d Touch from Geeetech and went about installing as per instructions.
I have a I3 pro C , and when trying to connect to the z Max terminal I found it has only 2 connections not 3 as described in the instructions?
Can you HELP

I didnt get the touch sensor working yet, however you will find the missing pin needs to be soldered on.

In the guide it says:
step 1. Remove the Z max connector from the board and replace it with a 3Pin Straight Pin.You need to use soldering iron here.

With small pliers, gently pull the white plastic socket off the pins. its just a plastic sheath with the two pins pushed through the bottom. You might find theres a little resistance when you pull. Dont fret, it is a tight fit.

Notice theres a solder spot on the outside next to your pins where a pin might be located. Use a solder extractor to suck out the closed up hole, if its filled in. You need to solder a new pin into that hole.
