Y-Axis is moving while printing

Post by Lonzo » Sun Jul 28, 2019 4:00 pm

I own a Geeetech Prusa I3X

I tested all the things in the manual.
Installing Repetier-Host (V1.6.0)
Installing the Drivers and finding the Printer in Repetier-Host, OK
Using Slic3r (V1.2.9) per Call from Repetier-Host, OK
Manually moving on the x,Y and Z axis, OK
Heating the bed and Extruder, OK
I worked my way through all the configurations.
So far, so good.

Loading File, slicing and starting to print, all works fine.
But all printing attempts gone wrong, because while printing the Y-axis seem to move!?
The printed lines wander in direction of the front of the printer more and more.
The grip of the filament on the surface of the glasplate is perfect.
I tried the newest version of Slic3r, the effect stayes the same.
I cant find a mechanical reason for this. Or can this happen, if the Y-Stepmotor is defect?

Additionally the printed lines are not straigt, they look more like a corkscrewer...
I reduced the printing speed to 30mm/s without effect, except longer printtimes ;)
Is there a configuration to fix this too?

I dont know, how to fix this. Can somebody help me, please?

Hello.

Your printer is new. And you've probably just started your adventure.

So it's only natural that you need to gain experience and knowledge. For example, reading this forum.

The problem you're facing is layers shifting.
Almost everyone has to deal with it.

Look for topics in the forums that contain this problem. There are many of them. :D
On the forum I help to use the rod, I don't give fish.
Geeetech Prusa I3 M201 Dual extruder Mixcolor 3D printer, bought 2017-12-19, already built, in the cognitive and improvement phase
Geeetech filament, ABS only
Geeetech 3D WiFi Module for 3D Printer, bought 2018-04-15, He got a new life, and still lies in a drawer.
Positively frenzied customer of Getech Technology.

Hi, You may need to adjust the belt tension on the y-axis;
The drive board voltage can then be adjusted (0.8-1.2V).
-Keep your mind and try to test it. :)
-Everything will be fun!-Support all Getech printer.
-You can ask me the questions and I will kindly reply.
-Respect others is the best way you can get help!

Your stepper motors do not give positional feedback to your printer. So, if you forcefully move your motor during print, then the printer will not notice, and simply pretend it never happened.
