Extruder motor

Post by bigbbdriver » Fri Aug 14, 2020 3:13 am

Hi
I have a i3 Pro B, with a GT2560 rev A board, fitted with A4988 drivers. I have been printing now for some time with good success, I get the odd occasion where my extruder motor jumps and doesn't push the filament through, but tonight the extruder motor stopped completely!
I have changed cables and the motor seems ok. also swapped drivers over and they work ok too. I checked the voltage on the driver and that is ok too.
Running out of ideas!!
Any thoughts gents???

The extruder motor is responsible for loading the material into the hotend. Therefore, if you can hear a clicking sound coming from the extruder motor during the material loading or printing, or if the material gets blocked in the duct in the extruder, at first you should carry out extruder motor maintenance.
