Filament arm broken

Post by Stuart86 » Thu May 30, 2019 5:27 pm

I have an acrylic i3 b pro printed once and realised that the arm that provides pressure against the extruder motor to feed the filament is broken. Could you please link me to a replacement metal one I can't believe these kits are bieng shipped out with such a sub standard part still, from what I have read this is a common issue
Thank you
Stuart

Hi, Where did you buy it?
If the agent needs to contact himself
If you buy it here, can you provide the order number and email address?
-Keep your mind and try to test it. :)

-You can ask me the questions and I will kindly reply.

Hi Stuart,
You mean something like this ? ...
(Costs £10 )
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sovol-Creality ... 7C7XHYSSWR
This is on Amazon Prime delivery if that helps you...
If you don't mind waiting, I ordered Ebay item 273808749063. Cheaper, but it took a couple of weeks to arrive.
It should be an upgrade on the plastic one anyway - I'm going to change mine over and it isn't actually broken.

That's exactly what I was looking for thank you its a shame these parts aren't included as standard as the plastic ones seem to be unfit for purpose I can imagine that it will be quicker for me to just order one of these that you linked rather than wait for support to get in contact after finding my order details and shipping one outhat. Is your printer an i3 pro b with the arm on the left side of the printer? I have seen many different configurations of the mk8 extruder even the same as mine but right handed, I assume these are for he dual extruder models
Thank you again for your reply
I wish admin could of linked me to it when I asked

You're welcome Stuart,
Mine is indeed an i3 Pro B in 8mm Black Acrylic.
It has just the one extruder. Left of the motor, arm out to the front.
You'll find this is called a 'Right Hand', (The Left Hand would be for an extruder on the other side in a dual configuration )
There are pictures of my printer visible when viewing this component in Thingiverse !
(They show the extruder close up)

Hi Stuart,
I've just seen this on Amazon prime delivery.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Extruder-Alumi ... _1_fkmr0_1?

I think it will be a better fit for your printer.
