Geeetech I3 PRO B - HOT END FAN: PROPELLER BROKE

Post by deskplus » Thu Jan 25, 2018 7:06 pm

Hi,
I've ha Geeetech I3 PRO B since 1 month. I'm very happy but last week the hotend propeller broke .
I'd like to change it but I find only 2 pins fans in internet. The fan has 3 pin (+, -, s on the "fan1" of GT2560).
Is the fan realy controllable? Is the PIN "S" realy connect to board? Can I mount 2 pin model or is better 3 pin?
Where can I buy it?

Thanks

i broke a propeller on the the extruder fan as well but just swapped it over with the board fan as they are the same. they are both 2 pins but the extruder fan plugs into an extension which is 3 pins. mine is the pro w.

Hi Igor,
You need the three pin fan so the speed can be monitored. Have you tried Googling for 3 pin 40 x 40 x10mm fan?
Amazon has got lots of choice see https://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_no ... x+10mm+fan

Play Bonny!

Thanks keyser and Soadyheid!

I printed the fan and it was quiet, after a week it became noisy!

Now I order the fan on Amazon...
