Z Axis nut

Post by PaulBerlin » Tue Nov 13, 2018 3:18 pm

Hi guy,

I have issues with bended threaded rods for the z axis.
I am planning to replace them with new ones. At the same time I would also like to replace the brass z axis nut because I am having concerns that those could became damaged because of the bended rods.

Now my question: Where I can buy the z axis nuts (everything I found on Amazon and ebay is for lead screws (rising 2mm or more per rotation) and not for threaded m8 rod (rising 1.25mm per rotation)).

In addition, can I buy the m8 threaded rods from a local store or do you recommend something sprecial?

Thanks,
Paul

Hello.

The quickest way to make a purchase is in your city.
Consider replacing threaded rods with professional TR8 hauling screws.

The necessary information about firmware configuration in case of replacement to trapezoidal screws can be found in this forum. ;)
On the forum I help to use the rod, I don't give fish.

Thanks for reply, but it did not answer my question. I dont want to change to leadscrews as many users describe other issues than eg. with firmware update etc.

I am fine with the threaded rods.

My questions:
1. where I can by the brass nuts for threaded rods?
2. Can I buy the m8 threaded rods from a local store or do you recommend something sprecial?

Thanks,
paul

It is incredible that they continue selling the printer with the rubbish of normal threaded rods and do not change them for trapezoidal.
They know with certainty that the ones they put DO NOT WORK and continue with them.
I have to buy one but seeing this I will change printer manufacturer.
