A30 silent fans

Post by TheG » Mon Jun 10, 2019 12:08 am

Hi all!

Did anyone mod their A30 for silent fans? I've replaced the stepper drivers and now the only thing that can be heard are the incredibly loud fans in the A30 control box.

I've found this on Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3101920

I wonder if anyone is already using or or something similar and can report their experiences :) I currently plan to use the above thingiverse part, remove all A30-control box fans and use 2 x 120mm ultra silent arctic fans to for cooling...

Hi, you can judge the speed by the sound of the cooling fan in the power box.
-Keep your mind and try to test it. :)
-Everything will be fun!-Support all Getech printer.
-You can ask me the questions and I will kindly reply.
-Respect others is the best way you can get help!

I'm slightly confused as the answer appears to have nothing to do with my question... :)

I have the same issue here! brand new A30 and the Fans are very loud.
Also the Panel where you can set up the Fanspeed is not working.
So i check the Fans inside the Box and think there are 12V Fans operating on 24V. To deal with this i solder some resitors serial insde each Fans Kabel. So Fans are silent now!

Check what kind of Fans are inside and test which one causes the may Noise. Best way is to check Voltage and Current on this and put and resistor serial...

Hope this helps...

Hi,

I am using something similar. I remixed CR10 fan case with two 120 mm fans, but i didn't disconnected all fans.
I just disconnected power fan and removed power supply cover.
