E180 Hardware and Software Upgrade

Post by tokar2222 » Tue Nov 12, 2019 4:38 am

Hi all

I start upgrade my E180 And technically I did:
1: Hot end CR10 (PID data from another user)
2: Driver TMC 2208 ( Wait for solution of couple issue)
3: Hotbed (Just hardware for now, I found very nice plate 120x120)
4: Full maintenance inc. belt, bearing, lubricante etc

As I understand our mainboard is compatible with hotbed. It have all of conector and places where to install hardware. So only software stopped my.
Im looking for somebody who known how to play with source code in IAR or Eclipse
1. To Active hotbed function
2. Force E180 to accept AutoPID Tune in RepiterHost
3. Increase max temp of hotend to 270

Any suggestion and every help needed
hardware is time consuming and I'm not the best with computer :)

:D Hi, E180 does not have a hot bed.
If you change it, it may not match the function on the motherboard.
The firmware it comes with is not Marlin firmware.
-Keep your mind and try to test it. :)
-Everything will be fun!-Support all Getech printer.
-You can ask me the questions and I will kindly reply.
-Respect others is the best way you can get help!

don´t bother. Get rid of stock board and display.

You could compile a E180 heated bed firmware from github, but you can not do it with the screen FW.

Board github is not been updated in more than a year, screen fw is not available, marlin 2 is not yet suported and not soon to be.

I just change electronics and everything works perfectly since ever.

After not fair battle I decide to order skr1.3 + chimera hotend, and few extra parts to print in PLA without switching anything
Do you have a Marlin for e180? That will be awesome, at least for first run.
Thanks in advance

skr works flawless, but GTM32 smartto is an open source proyect that looks abandom. TODAY it´s been release A30M and A30Pro firmwares, but NO source code, not any update on github.

SKR updates their software daily, so GTM32 it´s a ferrari board with a lack of source code, and support from geeetech.

My E180 is now with skr, marlin 2, v6 hotend, heated bed, and many things that geeetch could have done, but didn´t
