A20m Updated model, new Heatbed with Mylar?

Post by Engineero » Thu Jan 09, 2020 6:07 am

When I purchased my A20M it came with the Geeetech 260mmx260mm SuperPlate (glass) and the heatbed was 260x260x1.5mm.

I noticed on the newer revision models, the heatbed is still 260mmx260mm, but its much thicker, appears to be 4mm thick (probably reduces heatbed warping significantly) and a Mylar Sticker instead of a glass clip-on buildplate.

Is it possible to purchase the new, thicker, warp resistant headbed?

Where can I get it, as its not on the store page, my A-20M has been quite the workhorse, but I notice that leveling and adhesion are getting worse and worse due to the thin 1.5mm heatbed starting to sag in the center from heatwarp.

I would love to get ahold of the new revision heatbed, rather than spend $400-$500 on a entirely new A-20M.

:D Hi, thanks for your feedback.
Current hot beds are available in super version and
Aluminum substrate + Mylar sheet version,
The Mylar sheet version has an aluminum substrate of 1.5,
When adjusting the hot bed, the distance between the nozzle and the hot bed is two leveling papers.

You need to clean hotbed with isopropyle and leave it covered against dust. It must be clean, dark black... PEI sheet is much worse.

TIP: tight all screws and wheels (except right side of Z axis) and re-align frame while assembly. And silence it.

Yeah, my heatbed is 4mm, but the mylar is crappy. :/ Wish i had the superplate. The mylar started bubbling in the middle. I just put a 260*260*4 mirror on top of it ...
