Impossible to connect 3dtouch to Geeetech Prusa i3 Pro B

Post by disilvestre » Mon Nov 14, 2016 5:11 pm

Hi, I bought a printer 3d Geeetech Prusa i3 Pro B and after some days I ordered the 3d touch sensor.
When the sensor has arrived I found a problem: there are no detailed instructions and there is not a long enough connection cable in the package.
Also the touch 3d sensor has 5 pins: 3 for Zmax. and 2 for the Zmin.
Unfortunately my GT2560 board has connectors for 2-pin for both the Zmax that at Zmin.

I tried to connect the sensor to only two pins available but does not work.
I think for 35 Euros we had to be both more detailed instructions that a long enough cable to connect your 3D sensor touch the GT2560 card.
If anyone can help me to complete the installation I would be very grateful.
Best regards,
Marco

The board is OK but you must change the connector for a 3pin like the images show...some soldering required to get a long enough cable and refit connectors the right order

Red, Orange, Brown (NOT servo standard)

Servos have positive (+) on center pin - this does not...
