10 seconds after start up, a transistor in the PSU blew up and the printer no longer works.

Hi,
1.First please check if your power supply has switched to correct voltage. please note that ,there is a 110V/220V switch in power supply, switch it to correct position according to residential voltage in your country.
2.Was the green light still on the PSU?If it was,you can measure what value is the DC output of PSU.
If it was't on when your power it on,then the PSU may be broken and you can contact your seller to ask for a PSU replacement.
-Keep your mind and try to test it. :)
-Everything will be fun!-Support all Getech printer.
-You can ask me the questions and I will kindly reply.

I had this problem after a year of usage, it suddenly stopped working.

I ordered a new one on geeetech after asking the type of my psu. I installed it today and the same thing happens. nothing.

I hear a slight buzz. But nothing powers on?

@DQW
Was the green light(on the PSU) on when you turn it on?You can measure the AC input and DC output with a multimeter.

The green light doesn't go on with the new one. So my guess it wouldn't go on with the older one. The light from the on/of button does go on??????

First check if you have the L/N/G cables correctly connected,then check the 110V/220V switch on the PSU.
The next move is to unplug the board from the PSU and measure the AC input and DC output with a multimeter.
