I3 pro W build - X -axis rod collars

Hi All,

I posted this on the youtube comments for the build videos but will also post it here as well...

when assembling the x axis the locking collars on the smooth rods are much better placed on the inside of the steel ends...reason is that when you tension the belt you will be pulling tight against the collar stops rather than trying to pull the Z smooth rods inwards...as it does when they are on the outsides as per the instructions and videos.

I have set mine up like this and it helps keep the belt tension set consistently and makes the Z movement much better...

Also added to the sides of the frames some 1/4 round wood to stiffen the structure and a big difference in wobbling when X changes direction.

hope this helps someone :)

Tim
