Build Platform

Post by Synint » Fri Dec 30, 2016 4:30 am

I am in the process of building a prusa I3X and after I have assembled the build platform it does not run smoothly on the rails. I was wondering if applying WD 40 would help or is there something else i could do. Also when cutting the Y belt is it best to ensure it is a tight fit or leave some slack . Apologies if I have posted in the wrong forum this is the first time i have built anything like this and I am a bit green.

Cheers,
John

Hi,John
Of course you can try some lubricating oil on the rods.
As for the belt,i think you can leave some slack because you can adjust it if it is too loose.
