I3 pro B printer Printer not found via usb

Hello guys,
I have assembled my printer and downloaded FTDI USB SERIAL DRIVER as well as the Repetier-Host version for mac.
Anyways my mac is not able to find the printer despite the usb cable is connected and via "about this mac" I can see that the usb is indeed connected.
Whenever I try to connect it via the Repetier Host it doesn*t show the needed port.
Any suggestions on what I missed or need to try to make it work?
