How to slow down top layer in Repetier

Post by Karas647 » Fri Jan 27, 2017 10:01 pm

Hello.
I love my Geeetech I3B printer and it has been producing amazing prints but I have come into an issue with Repetier when I print objects that have slim tall points on them I don't know how to set the software to print the layers very slowly. All other layers print perfectly but the smaller the top of the print becomes. for example if I was to print a pyramid the base layers are good but the closer it gets to the top I want it to slow down so those layers have more time to cool as the print space decreases. Does anyone have some software settings that I can try?

I thought I should post some pictures so you can see what I am talking about. The layers print fine but when it gets to the to the top it prints way to fast. Any help or settings for Repetier would to make this come out right would be great.

Hi,
Did you fix it?
In my opinion, you can turn the knob to decrease the ratio "100%" to another value in the top layers, which will slow down your print speed.
