I am having the same problem. I cannot connect to the printer with my Windows 8.1 computer.

Repetier gives "access to the port COM3 is denied"

This is worse not better. No longer can connect. Wont recognize port. This is becoming a disaster.,

Ok . I have installed driver and can connect to printer but screen on printer is blank. It wont heat. do I need to install new firmware?
