I can not replace the firmware on my Prusa I3 pro B.
I do everything according to the instructions from the first page, and when it comes to downloading
I get a message

Ok I habve managed to upload the firmware, and it was my fault it didnt load up , I have both the 1.01 version of arduino and 1.8 and every time I tried to load the firmware it would open in the later version so would have the error i was getting, when i finally managed to open the firmware in 1.0.1 error was gone and all has loaded and my squealing and screen has returned to normal. thanks for being so patient and i apologise for waisting your time instead of double checking everything my end.

now for the bad news lol

I cant use the manual settings in Repetier or print from this software i can connect to the com port but none of the controls seem to work please help again

thanks

Here are some tips for your case:
1、Try to change different value of the baud rate in the printer setting;
2、Reinstall the board driver which you can find in user manual;
Taking some video about you lastest case if it still don't work,because it will be much clearer to locate the key point.

OK, I'm lost.

I have my printer up and working, just fine. I want to save the Xsteps and Ysteps setting that I got after calibrating but every time I power down the machine it loses the values I put in.

Where, in the firmware, do I update those values?

Prusa i3 model with the GT2560 board.

Thanks

Hi,after everytime you change the value of Xsteps and Ysteps setting ,you need to store the memory at Main>Control>Store memory.
