Dual extruder Print I3 PRO C Printing Setup

Post by pekote » Thu Apr 21, 2016 1:29 am

Hello All,

I'm having problems to setup the dual extruder printing. I followed the procedure as per Geeetech WIKI and doesn't work.

I found that setting up the offsets in Slic3r makes that Slic3r calculation try to avoid object interference and by the end, the slice by Slic3r piece calculation is bad. I mean, by setting up an offset, one of the extruders is printing let's say 15mm to the left and the second 14mm to the right. The Slic3r think that the pieces from both extruder are going to be printed in the same place so the slice process ends in a bad result, with some parts of the pieces not printed.

I'm wondering how you setup to print an object with two colors... could you share your slicer settings?

It seems that the printer firmware doesn't support the feature "extruder displacement" feature.

So I think you need to set them as follows:
