Geeetech Acrylic Prusa i3 MK8 Extruder Defect

Post by jgvonk » Wed Feb 11, 2015 5:08 am

Hi,

I have a Acrylic Geeetech I3 pro 3D printer DIY kit purchased on 10-01-2015, and i have a defect MK8 extruder. I have ask for warranty, because filament ran out of a screw of the hotend (MK8 already assembled bij Geeetech). But not heard anything from Geeetech. So I've purchased new parts: Heater Aluminium Block Assembly, heatpipe and nozzle. The original could no longer be used.

Now everything is finally in so i put everything together with the new parts and now appears that the extruder motor is defective. I tested the motor on the y axis here the motor alsow does not work.

Please give me warranty! Please send a new MK8 extruder!

I have not printend anything till now!

Hi jgvonk
I'm sorry about your problem.
Have you checked the temperature? The extruder motor works only when the nozzle is above 200℃, otherwise the it will not move.
I think you should check the extruder motor again--test it on x/z axis, if you are sure the motor is broken, you can contact our customer service from where you bought.
Sincerely
Harry
