I bought two all metal J head extruders and both are not melting the plastic too well. I heat them up to 180C and hand feed the plastic into the extruder. For 1 to 2 seconds the plastic feeds through nicely and then I get major resistance almost to a stop. I pull the filament out and see the end slightly thicker than the rest of the filament. I cut the end off and attempt again and got the same result.
I turned the temperature up, but the results do not change. Please help!

Resistive metal J heads
Re: Resistive metal J heads
hi walter:
First you should heat j_head to 180C if the filament is ABS , and then use the M3 bar push the filament down
