Control Board not releasing power to other parts

Post by smokewoodland » Tue Jan 02, 2018 11:05 am

After assembling by Geeetech Prusa i3 X, I was getting ready for my first print, which was from an SD card. I clicked preheat PLA, and everything turned off, except for the green lights on the PSU, and the control board. I checked the input to the control board with a volt meter, and it was putting out a full 12 volts. When I plugged the PSU cord to the control board, the control board measures at no volts, anywhere on it. What can I do to fix it?

P.S.-When moving the extruder mount back and forth, the LCD board will light up briefly, and the fans will turn on, and back off. This may be of no importance to the control board problem, but just wanted to add this information in.

Yes, I remembered to plug in 12V PSU cord. Guess it was just a faulty board
