Magnetic Hotbed

Post by Stevo61 » Mon Mar 23, 2020 5:01 am

Hi can anyone tell me if there is a magnetic hotbed available for the A20T as I have great difficulty removing models from the heated bed after completion, I have the reheat the heated bed and then it is a real struggle to remove the model it is so hard that I am afraid that I am going to damage the printer. I had a similar problem with my Creality CR-X and a magnetic bed cured the problem but I can't find one to fit the A20T.

Hi,You can try Mylar with magnetic plate.
Or increase the number of underlying layers
-Keep your mind and try to test it. :)
-Everything will be fun!-Support all Getech printer.
-You can ask me the questions and I will kindly reply.

Hi,

I have the same issue. Removing the items is a nightmare.

Did you find a magnetic bed that fits?

Cheers
Oli

how about getting 2 magnetic covers for the bed glue one down on the hot bed with the correct polarity so to attract the other then you can do the same without buying a new magnetic heated bed or am I being dense and not understanding the problem

Since my last post I bought a Ziflex magnetic bed. It costs 49€ (including postage to EU) and it's basically what you describe. It's two plates both made of a magnet that attract each other. One is glued on the printer bed, the other goes on the top.

The print sticks very well during printing and is extremely easy to remove. I clean it with washing up liquid and water. I have it only for 5 days but so far so good.

Use Geeetech SuperPlate and you will get out all problems with sticking.

TIP: tight all screws and wheels (except right side of Z axis) and re-align frame while assembly. And silence it.
