Can't manually level

Trying to setup my A30T for the first time. When I hit the manual level button nothing happens. My understanding is that another screen should come up that allows me to level the bed and save the settings. Also, when I hit the home button the nozzle will move to the far left corner but then return to the center of the plate and move down until the nozzle begins to press against the bed and I have to shut the printer off and manually raise it so it doesn't break or get damaged. Why is this happening?
