Leveling printer bed

Post by SaraF » Tue May 07, 2019 6:14 pm

Help please!
I am having problems leveling my printer bed. I have followed all the steps but still no joy. With all the leveling knobs at their lowest setting the bed is still too high. I have tried adjusting the nozzle but it still keeps resetting and is pushing down the print bed. Any suggestions would be gratefully received.
Thanks

Hi,
New A10M printer received 17/07/19. I can't adjust the extruder to go any lower to the hotbed, therefore the extruder nozzle is positioned approximately 10mm above the hotbed during printing. The hotbed supplied is aluminium plate with adhesive thermal cover.

I can level the hotbed manually, but once the printing starts the extruder sits above the hotplate 10mm spewing filament everywhere into a nice bird nest..... . I do have 3D Touch but I'm a Mac user :( and the firmware update is another issue to tackle, but I just want to print the test print for now.......is it a bird nest?

Anyways, a solution to my nozzle hotbed issue and or hint to the other issue ( Mac and firmware updated 3D Touch) would be greatly appreciated.........

humbly............

okay, problem solved. I had the 3Dtouch connected without firmware update... It don't like it...... But still need update firmware! trying to work with Arduino for Mac. Question: can this be done on a Mac?

humbly still.
