Question about A20M fan placement

Post by rikku » Thu Jan 02, 2020 8:47 pm

Hello,

I'm new to 3D printing. Recently, I had a problem with the hotend so I replaced it. But I don't take care about the 2 fans placements. Since, my printer often pause printing without error message. I just have to select "Resume" to continue but it's a little bit annoying for long prints.
I suspect I mount the 2 fans in a wrong way. Actually, the 2 fans take the air from outside to the hotend.

Could you confirm the direction of the air flow ? (I wonder if left fan take air to the hotend and the right to outside, but not sure).

Sorry for my stupidity -_-!

:D Hi, The fans inside the hot end housing are on both sides of the hot end.
Is for cooling fans,
One left and right.

Thanks for answer.

My question is more about the direction of the air flow of each fans. Is it from inside the hotend to the outside or vice versa ?

I tried to draw my question, see files below :)

What is correct ?

No. 2???

On my A10M it was configuration No.1 from factory (2018/10 model). Warm flow is going to printed model.

So what is right in reallity?

TIP: tight all screws and wheels (except right side of Z axis) and re-align frame while assembly. And silence it.

I don't think the fans on the sides go to the model. It's the 3rd fan's role, the one with a duck to cold the print. Maybe I'm wrong ?

Hello,
I want to change the fans, in order to get something quieter.
Does someone has good links to quieter fans?

Power supply's Fan :
60*60*15 mm / 12 V / 0,2 A

MotherBoard's Fan
50*50*20 mm / 24V

Best regards,
Christophe
