Auto bed leveling.

Any news on the auto bed levelling firmware for Marlin using an Acrylic i3? I have the hardware mods done and can get the servo to swing the sensor up and down. It will not hold down though due to a changes in Marlin so cannot calibrate it. Can't find any info anywhere on what to change in Marlin. T...

How I solved MOSFET overheating...

The only way I could see to solve this problem was to fit another fan. I modified a heatsink I had as well to help. Now I have to sort out the problem of the extruder carriage gradually bending after a few hours of use.... http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a5da01b3127ccee8bc7552b1b300000030O00AbMWbF...

Hotbed too hot.

Hi, printer has been working well for the last week. But now the Hotbed keeps overheating. It keeps climbing until it gets to 150 and then the error msg saying max temp. Even in manual mode with the Hotbed temp turned off it still heats up. I'm guessing it's the thermistor not cutting in. Is there a...

Re: Ramps problem...

Finally got mine actually printing. Had one more issue with a 'Z' axis extension cable with a bad connector. It was only making partial contact causing that motor to not keep up with the other. It's good to have cheap prices but the QC suffers.... Had some photos to post but they would not fit in th...

Re: Ramps problem...

Well after days and days of building and re-building I maybe near to getting this printer working. I replaced the Ramps 1.4 board which solved most of my problems (I hope). Then after running continuity tests through the extruder It turned out to be a bad connection to the extruder. I managed to ope...

Re: Ramps problem...

Hi, I purchased a new Ramps 1.4 and put a big fan over it. All seems to be working so far except the extruder hotend. This did not work with the other Ranps board either. When I turn on the extruder heater in Repetier the output contacts on the board show over 14v. So it maybe a faulty hotend or a b...

Ramps problem...

Hi, Thanks for the firmware which I installed but I still have problems. All axis moved after installation although Y was going the wrong direction in manual mode. The bed heater came on as soon as power was applied and went off around 82 degrees with setting at 95. Extruder heater does nothing. Swi...
