Re: A10M Hot End Thermistor

DOH! Sorry, my brain isn't working right these days.

This is one for the ender, which the geeetech is based on

Re: Nozzle update advice

For how cheap nozzles are, just go for it! As long as homing leaves the nozzle off the bed, a longer nozzle won't hit it.

I chose to tweak the Z axis micro switch, so I didn't have to level the bed. Shame nobody makes a Z axis switch micro adjuster.

Re: A10M Hot End Thermistor

The A10M specification shows a Heater cartridge: 24V, 40W; diameter & length: 6 *30mm Amazon has a 5 pack for $11 of 24v, 40W with a 6mm diameter. The length won't matter as long as the wattage and diameter is correct and I'd bet the one you have also measures 20mm. With amazon prime, I can have the...

Re: How to change the extruder nozzle ?

Your going to want to go to the auto parts sore and buy a small tube of anti-seize. Also check that you have some sort of socket or closed end wrench that fits the nozzle. The cheap open end wrenches are junk. The nozzle must be removed hot, so you also will need a paper towel or pot holder to not g...

Re: printing issue

go down to 1 layer of paper. The pull should feel like somebody is holding the piece of paper fairly lightly. You feel some resistance when pulling, but not much and for sure, it should not rip the paper. The nozzle needs to be about half the nozzle diameter off the bed. The back area looks to be to...

Re: printing issue

It looks like the leveling is bad. The backside is getting smushed and the front is extruding too high over bed and not sticking.

I'd also add a second stroke around the outside

Re: Nozzle update advice

I don't know what kind of nozzle you need, but a caliper will tell you what the screw is. Many use a 6mm, which is an mk6/mk7, where the mk10 is a 7mm, but has a different inner diameter than the geeetech one. The height of the nozzle vary, so changing nozzles, you may need to change the Z microswit...

Re: Difficulty Loading Filament

You need to be releasing the pressure on the spring roller, so it can push straight.

I insert the filament with a quick stabbing motion and repeat it multiple times until it slides in. The stabbing motion helps make the filament jump into the hole.

Re: a30t upgrades

The MK10 nozzles have a 7mm thread, but with an more open inside diameter. I don't like the a10t mixing hot end, because it is VERY slow to swap colors, so I'm in the process of swapping hot ends, but have other things that put it on the back burner. The Geeetech hot end has valves in the hot end th...

Re: What flash method for updating the firmware with octoprint?

I have not seen any warning against any firmware downloader, they all sound like they work. I tried version 2 for a day, but I'm making a lot of other changes, so i'm running the one that came with the printer until I have a few more things sorted out or I find a requirement to change it.
