Re: 12V A30 Disassembly guide?

Thanks - somehow i had the power wires in and out of the bed in the wrong way so when it was meant to me off it was on automatically. This A30 is an older i think V2.1 hardware model - i have an SKR board spare from a previous Ender 3 upgrade - it has TMC2208 steppers. Is it possible for me to use t...

Re: 12V A30 Disassembly guide?

Thanks, I'll have to check through that. Recovered almost all of the pictures and got on with it. Almost all OK - only thing wrong is the heated bed warms up to 70-75c quickly and control via touchscreen or pronterface doesn't seem to work. Any obvious suggestion to something I might have got back t...

12V A30 Disassembly guide?

I have an A30 which i was taking apart (inside the control box) in order to look at upgrading the fans, mounting some of it on soft mounts to reduce the vibration noise etc. and took photos as i did it - unfortunately i've had some data corruption and lose a significant number of the photos. I'm not...

Re: A30 automatically pausing

I'm one of those who is getting pausing in prints - i am printing from SD. I am printing the benchy gcode file that came on the microSD card with the A30. I have tried more than 2 other different MicroSD cards. I am on firmware V1.38.59 and i think Hardware version 2.0null or something. It's a 12V i...

Re: 3D Touch sensor Installation

As per https://www.geeetech.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=60676 First, you need to check if the "Extruder extension board" is standard. You need to weld these 5 pins. This is my bundle of parts now that i have taken off the "printhead" https://i.imgur.com/veu3hpQ.jpg https://i.imgur.com/N5MSrUO.jpg...

Re: A30 firmware.

And now after trying a few firmwares i am back to not being able to get into settings using the touchscreen

Don't tell me - now i need to open up the unit again and take the sd card out of the inside in order to change something on that.

What a mistake buying this printer was :!:

Re: A30 firmware.

Bloody hell this is getting complicated. I'm only on the latest firmware because i started having a blank white screen and contacted support, to have a lengthy chat on Whatsapp and then got given instructions to do all that firmware upgrading, and take the control box apart in order to get to the LC...

Re: Horrible print-quality (waves in surface)

This has to do with wrong PID settings for the hotend. Badly the A30 firmware do not support PID auto tune. You can only set it manually with the smartto-motor tools (https://github.com/Geeetech3D/Smartto-Tool/tree/master/applications). Btw. with this tool you can also tune the Extruder steps and c...

Calibrating the Extruder on a Geeetech A30

I'm trying to setup my A30 & drill down on the best settings for printing. So far my efforts to calibrate the extruder are getting me nowhere so i hoped i could turn to the forum to help. I am able to communicate with the printer by Octoprint, or using the Smatto Motor tool by USB, or through Slic3r...
