3D Hubs Releases Worldwide 3D Printing Trend Report

Amsterdam-based 3D Hubs has released its September 2015 Trend Report. The newest report in the series indicates that it is up another 1,000 3D printers this month for its community, totaling 21,000. The 3D Hubs’ community now has 3D printers in over 450 countries. The desktop figures from 3D Hubs show the Prusa Steel and the Rapide Lite 200 3D printers rating the highest quality.

On the industrial side, the Stratasys Objet Eden 260 was held up in first place for highest quality. The most popular 3D print categories remain prototyping and hobby/DIY prints, although the other categories are increasing in demand. Black and white filaments remain the most popular, together representing more than 50 percent of all 3D prints.
