I appreciate the detailed explanation of its properties and advantages over regular PLA. The tips for printing with Silk PLA are particularly helpful, especially regarding temperature settings and print speed. I’m excited to try out the different color options, especially the multicolor variants! Your insights on combining PLA with Silk PLA for unique effects are also intriguing. Keep up the great work, and I look forward to more posts like this!

Hi Steffen, for starting 3d printing, we suggest you to try out PLA first, it’s easier to process and be heated.
Each filament type has its strengths and weaknesses, which makes them suitable for different kinds of projects.

PLA: Best for beginners, decorative objects, and items not exposed to heat.
ABS: Ideal for mechanical parts and outdoor use due to its heat resistance.
PETG: A middle ground between PLA and ABS. PETG is strong, UV resistant, and easier to print than ABS.
Choosing between PETG filament vs PLA often comes down to durability vs ease of printing.

I have a question and I am new to 3D printing and I am not sure what filament I should use, whether it should be PLA or PETG.

Do you have samples for newcomers to test that you can give out?

many thanks in advance

MFG

When replacing the FEP film, please be careful not to use too much force, just make sure that the screw is screwed properly, if too much force will cause the pressure plate to crack.

I own a 3D printing business and I typically print 5 kg + of TPU 95A every week. With the Geeetech filament there is excessive stringing.I have tried the same Gcode I use with other filaments and adjust print parameters many times, but the excessive stringing remains a problem. I use a commercial-grade filament dryer and print at 10% moisture. This produces perfect print with other brands of TPU but not with Geetech. Is Geeetech TPU 95A or a different shore hardness? Do you have any recommendations?
