What kind of nozzle is on A10M?

Post by aarli » Mon Oct 15, 2018 1:47 pm

Anybody can enlighten me what type nozzle is used?
It's definitely not MK8. Nor does it have M6 screw.
Is it V6 type? J-head? Mk10? Still haven't been able to identify the exact type. Caliper measurements yield weird dimensions that don't seem to lead me to the right direction...
I'd like to find some replacement nozzles, also with alternative extrude diameters.

Would like to know myself. It isn't what fits an Ender 3. I tried. Seems Geetech only want you to buy their nozzles and 0.4mm is the only size they do.

Did the OP ever find out what fits?
I'm still thinking of trying an MK10 with the M7 thread but don't want to waste money if someone else knows the answer but isn't telling.
Thanks

A 10 is a MK 6
A 10 M is a MK7 due to the dual feed needing more head room to melt the infeed...

You can do a search for the nozzles... or look on aliexpress for MK7 nozzle.... the 6&7 denominator I believe refers to the thread size...

Thanks for the input but I think you are confusing thread size with the "MK" denominator.
A10 uses M6 thread which is MK8 nozzle
A10M uses M7, and looks like a regular MK10.
I don't know who came up with these numbers because it's very confusing  .

Has anyone ordered replacement tips to verify what fits correctly besides the Geeetech ones?

I think you need to check the nozzle type of the A10 and A10M.(They use the different type nozzle)
The A10 use the MK8 nozzle(M6)
The A10M use the M7 thread nozzle.

Yes I read the A10M has a M7 nozzle. I was just wondering if anyone ordered any 3rd party M7 nozzles and tried them. I was thinking of ordering some spares or possibly stainless steel nozzles so I was curious.
