Thanks William for your post and link. I followed your instructions and finally got my new a10m and computer talking. Printing out my first project now. So Far so Good. I am still having an issue with the z axis not being close enough to the bed when it first starts. Any tips?

For any other new owners, I can confirm it worked for me on Cura 3.6

I am new to 3D printing and still figuring out Cura. I had a few questions about the profile.

1. When I imported the profile, It set the Extruders to 2.85mm. Is that what I should keep?
2. In Cura, The Extruder 1 profile is accepting 1.75mm filament. and Extruder 2 is accepting 2.85mm filament.

I tried changing the settings to what I think It should be, Bed at 235 X 235, Extruders with 1.75 mm filament in print profile. But when assigning the materials to extruders, it won't let me assign 1.75mm filament. Can you please confirm if that is how I should keep it?

You want everything at 1.75mm

Hello, you also can paste the material files directly on resources/material.

Thanks to the OP for this cura profile! Along with Vert's Marlin 2.0 (I am using build 210, which I understand isn't considered 'stable' on long prints -- along with all other builds for now) I am now getting very nice prints compared to the stock firmware.

I particularly like that I can select which extruder/color to use for each object on the board. Haven't figured out yet how to mix colors... but I'm in a sort of limbo state right now due to hardware problems (see below):

I am still dealing with a defective motherboard issue, which Geeetech has tried to remedy with a replacement... However, the replacement also had issues, and only boots very intermittently and is not stable, so I am back to the original one with the problem of not being able to heat the bed at all. Despite that, I am getting good adhesion on the glass plate with PLA.

It took a while, but thanks to your JSON file and some dialing in on Cura 3.5, I was able to eliminate my stringing problem and the extruder gear from shaving the filament. I used the two color Benchy for a test since it has some many changes with the two colors. Bleeding was eliminated by significantly increasing the volume of the prime tower. Image

Hey Guys,

i just have a quick question. I am using Cura but in general I am a beginner.

I have an A10M and the two coloured test print worked great, mono-colored prints work great as well, i just have a problem to tell him to use the other color.

If i switch to the 2nd Extruder in Cura the extruder is heated and its starts to print with the 2nd color, but then the extruder-head is not staying heated ( since its connected to color 1) and the filament cannot be pushed through anymore.

Most likely somebody with some skills can just give me a command or something i have to put into the starting sequence , or something like that ?
