Rostock 301 Endstop problem

Post by Midnightcrash » Thu Dec 22, 2016 5:05 am

Hello,

I got a problem with the homing of my Rostock 301.

One bearing activates the corresponding endstop and moves a bit down as it should.
The second stops before it hits the endstop and the third keeps running upwards, pressing against the endstop.
This behavior is independent of the axes.

Does anybody know a solution for this problem or has a suggestion? I tried configuring the options for endstops, axes max min, etc. in any possible way but I can't find the cause of the problem or it's solution..

Hi,
Did you have all the endstops correctly connected the corresponding connector(X_min-X endstop, etc.)
Then check if the cables of motors on 3 axes has good connections, rewire them if necessary.
And you can test if your endstops work normally by pushing them down(the motors will stop moving) when auto home.

maybe you can check the endstops by using a multimeter.
-Keep your mind and try to test it. :)

Thank you for your replies. I managed to find and fix the problem by testing the endstops by hand while homing. The X-endstop and the Y-endstop crosstalked and that's the reason for the strange behaviour. I rewired and isolated them again, now everything is working.
