A10M - Two FANs inside the Extruder don't work

Post by JohnDoe777 » Mon Aug 19, 2019 6:14 am

Hello guys,

I just got a brand new A10M printer, which has two FANs inside the extruder and the third FAN located on the front side of the extruder - outside. The problem is that the two FANs located inside the extruder (at its left and right sides) do not seem to work at all. I couldn't make them turn on neither from the software (like Repetier and Cura) nor from the printer itself. The front FAN does work fine though.

Has anyone experienced the same problem with these two FANs on A10M? Could you please advise if there is any way to turn them on?

I hope it's not a problem with the board itself and the issue could be fixed somehow :?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for your reply!

The FANs are not faulty as I tested them both by opening the main board and powering the FANs by 12v directly. Both of them turned on without an issue. The problem must be either with the board or I was hoping there could be something in the firmware to be modified to make the FANs run.

Do you have A10M too? If you do, could you please let me know that all the FANs located in the extruder worked for you right out of the box and you didn't have to change anything to make them work?

Thank you!

Hi, If the fan can work normally, it may be a problem with the motherboard port.
You may need to replace the motherboard.
Normally, the fan will open normally.

Yeah, I have the same suspicion that the problem is with the motherboard :(

Hi, The problem should be the adapter plate of the extruder,
because the interface of the two internal fans is there
and you can replace it.
